The Chief Operating Officer of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula (RCU) discussed the significant impact of their master plan, "Journey Through Time," on the community, including increased employment rates and added contributions to the national GDP. The RCU's commitment to improving the quality of life in Al-Ula is evident through their "Path to Prosperity" plan, which aims to build essential infrastructure and services, creating economic, social, and cultural benefits. The plan has already led to an 18% increase in average monthly income and the creation of over 1,600 jobs in the tourism sector and more than 2,100 in non-tourism jobs. The RCU's vision is to transform Al-Ula into a global hub for history and heritage, with a goal to achieve 150 billion Saudi Riyal to the GDP and net zero carbon emissions by 2035. Their efforts have also supported the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises in the region, contributing to the overall development and prosperity of Al-Ula.
