In a discussion with Khaled AlQureshi, CEO of the Saudi Water Partnership Company, the focus is on the importance of water technology and investment. The company, owned by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Finance, has been pivotal in transitioning from traditional water production methods to reverse osmosis, significantly reducing CO2 emissions and oil consumption. With over 20 projects completed and more than $46 billion invested, the company is a leader in water infrastructure. Future plans include 22 projects, with a mix of desalination and sewage treatment initiatives. The company is also working on a strategic reservoir to ensure water supply continuity. COP16 is highlighted as a platform to showcase these achievements and the environmental benefits of their projects. The reduction in energy consumption per cubic meter of water is a testament to the technological advancements made.
